Biomedical Engineering Program

  • • This program is considered one of the most modern and important disciplines. It links engineering sciences to medical sciences. In addition, it keeps pace with technological development, uses artificial intelligence, encourages communication skills, and enhances teamwork.

  • • The study in this program includes several basic tracks: the track of medical image processing and automated diagnostic systems, the track of medical devices, and the track of biomedical devices
  • • The student is trained in the faculty labs in addition to the labs of Faculty of Medicine. Field training is conducted in hospitals, maintenance centers, and pharmaceutical factories
  • • The program qualifies the graduates with outstanding and innovative skills to design medical devices in variant medical, engineering, and clinical applications
  • • The program prepares highly-efficient engineers able to develop the diagnostic medical systems and deal with technical administrative systems inside the biomedical engineering sectors
  • • The graduates of the program are able to innovate and develop the medical systems and find solutions using AI to update the programs and develop the computer systems which aim to help doctors in diagnosis and treatment
  • • The program provides highly-efficient engineering cadres able to lead medical device maintenance teams in specialized companies and manufacturers of medical devices.

The vision of the program is to qualify the graduates in the field of biomedical engineering to be leaders in this field with its variant disciplines to fulfill the requirements of the society and the labor market in both local and international levels. In addition, it seeks to graduate engineers able to to compete and meet the national standards.

The mission of the program is to provide an educational, scientific and research environment to graduate engineers able to compete professionally and aware of the latest updates in the discipline of biomedical engineering and the related fields.
