Vision

The department aims to achieve the academic and applicative excellence in the fields of engineering related to water sources administration, their quality, sustainability, scientific research and community service in all different engineering fields.

Mission

In the light of the vision of the department of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering, here are the following points:

1: Employment of engineering expertise for academic staff in the Department of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering in all different disciplines related to surface and underground water resources and drains to boost the efficiency of the civil engineering graduate to serve the community and to contribute to new advanced research.

2: Organizing training theoretical and practical courses to boost the employees' efficiency at the Ministry of Irrigation, research centers, Drinking Water Authority and other employees in the private sector and the students in different disciplines in the fields of hydraulics, irrigation engineering and modern design methods.

1. Updating the internal regulations and taking in the eye of consideration the standard national academic criteria.
2. Developing distinctive academic programs in line with the needs of the labor market.
3. Developing the skills of students through developed programs to practice various activities.
4. Developing internal and external training programs to maximize the benefits from them and raise the expertise of effective communication with the labor market.
5. Automating communication with students and publishing the culture of ongoing education.
6. Developing research specializations of the Faculty members.
7. Developing the research labs at the department and adopting the concept of research centers and integrated cooperative research.
8. Developing training programs for the Faculty members and assistants to upgrade the work efficiency.
9. Completing and updating students' labs in all the departments of the Faculty.
