A 2-day-workshop for the students on DART in cooperation with Center for the Study of the Biosphere from Space (CESBio).
Faculty of Engineering organized today an exhibition for the research projects of “City Planning” course for the 4th class students. The course is lectured by Dr. Sara Sha’lan. It was held in attendance of Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaff, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Walaa Ahmed Nour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Shahira Sharaf Addin, Head of Architectural Engineering Department; Prof. Mai Wahba, Manager of Quality Assurance Unit; Dr. Lubna Agha, Manager of Performance Assessment Unit; and Dr. Essam Helmy, Assistat Professor at Public Works Engineering Department. A workshop was held for two days on Data Reporting Tool for MEAS – DART Program in cooperation with Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheriff, Lecturer at Public Works Engineering Department. It was funded by CESBio. The students used the program in their projects to study the extent to which the designs are sustainable and to measure their carbon and heat emissions. The workshop is held at Tanta University for the first time and it is considered a new beginning for partnership between an Egyptian university and CESBio. As a result, the faculty gained a limitless number of original copies of the program to be used in teaching and scientific research at the faculty and the university as well. It is worth noting that CESBio has already made partnerships with international universities and research centers like NASA, European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), California University, University of London, and the University of Edinburgh.
Faculty Dean commended the quality of the projects which reflect the efficiency of the students, affirming keenness of the university and the faculty on coping with the requirements of the labor market via providing academic programs in different departments which provide the students with the required knowledge and skills.
