Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University signed today a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Public Authority for Drainage Projects (EPADP) under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, Tanta University President. The protocol was signed by Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Faculty Dean; and Eng. Mohammed Abdul Sameea, Chairman of the Egyptian Public Authority for Drainage Projects (EPADP).
For his part, Prof. Ahmed Nasr declared that the protocol is considered a strategic step towards linking academic education to the labor market, and refining the technical skills of the students to cope with the national strategy of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as the State’s plan for sustainable development. He added that the faculty is keen on enhancing joint cooperation to enrich the training and application aspects of students and benefit from the specialized training capabilities at the training centers affiliated to the Egyptian Public Authority for Drainage Projects.
Signing the protocol was attended by Prof. Mustafa Abdullatif Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Walaa Ahmed Nour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Yasser Abdul Fattah, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Islam Mahmoud Abul Naga, Head of Public Works Engineering; Prof. Tamer Abdullah Gado, Head of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering; Prof. Ibrahim Mohammed Rashwan, Full Professor at Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering Department; Prof. Bakinaz Abdul Azim Zedan, Full Professor at Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering Department; and Prof. Mai Wahba Madkour, Manager of Quality Assurance Unit; as well as members of the accompanying official delegation of Chairman of the Egyptian Public Authority for Drainage Projects; Eng. Sa’eed Ali Mekhemar, Head of the Central Administration for the Drainage Region of Middle Delta; Dr. Mahmoud Abdullah Al-Haddad, Head of the Central Administration for Training; and Eng. Basant Mohammed Hallah, General Manager of the Training Center.
