Dr. Ammar Hamed Al-Shaikh Is Manager of Research and Development Unit


   Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, issued an administrative decree appointing Dr. Ammar Hamed Al-Shaikh in the position of Manager of Research and Development Unit at the Faculty.
   The unit is considered one of the strategic elements of Faculty of Engineering, aiming to empower researchers, academic staff, and students to develop innovative and high-quality research and applied projects. The unit strives to link scientific research with the needs of society and to transform knowledge into valuable economic products and services, thereby contributing to the development of the faculty and university resources and fostering an environment that encourages creativity and entrepreneurship.
   The unit also plays a pivotal role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), supporting research that contributes to improving the quality of education and developing solutions in areas such as renewable energy, infrastructure, the environment, and sustainable industry. The unit believes that scientific research is not only a means of academic advancement but also an effective tool for making a positive impact on people’s lives, society, and the environment.
   These efforts align with the broader national context of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which places scientific research at the forefront of the country’s priorities towards building a competitive knowledge-based economy and achieving comprehensive and sustainable development. The Research and Development Unit at the Faculty of Engineering seeks to actively contribute to the implementation of this vision by enhancing the innovation system, supporting patent registration, and expanding cooperation with industrial entities and research institutions, to the benefit of the university, and both the local and international community.
