Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, chaired today the meeting of Faculty Council in the conference room, in attendance of vice deans, experts of former university presidents, former vice presidents, heads of the scientific departments, and a number of academic staff.
At the beginning of his speech, Faculty Dean congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the new Islamic year and the anniversary of June 30th revolution and July 23rd revolution. He also congratulated the academic staff who were promoted this month and wished them every success.
Prof. Ahmed Nasr commended the exerted efforts in hosting students from University of Bradford for the second successive year, praising the honorable training program that was conducted last year which gained appreciation of University of Bradford. He also extended his gratitude to Prof. Emad Etman, General Supervisor on the Training Program, and to his teamwork who spared no efforts to provide a role-model in this pivotal issue.
In addition, Faculty Dean tackled the research excellence achieved by Journal of Engineering Research which contributed to gaining the top assessment by the SCU for the 4th year in-a-row. He pointed out that the Journal follows the Arab Journals Platform and it is hosted on Digital Commons Platform, affiliated to Elsevier. He commended the innovative graduation projects which reflected the high spirit of creativity for students.
Further, he tackled all the issues listed in the agenda of the session and the council finished his works at 2:00 p.m.
