Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, made an inspection tour today for the graduation projects of the students registered in the 4th class. He commended the outstanding level of students’ innovations and the high spirit of creativity which provide real solutions and unique future visions. He added that these projects are the final product for the unlimited efforts of the academic staff and their assistants which helped the students take their first step on the right pathway with international competitiveness.
During his tour, Faculty Dean welcomed the guests of academic staff from different Egyptian universities, who attended to assess the graduation projects of a number of academic departments. He gave a remarkable presentation about the achievements of the faculty via applying a strategy focusing on academic excellence, innovation, social influence, regional leadership, updating academic courses, and starting new unique programs, including AI and biomedical engineering, to cope with the requirements of the labor market. He affirmed that the faculty always updates its academic bylaws, starts new departments, upgrades the ranking research papers, encourages international publication, and supports interdisciplinary research projects.
Faculty Dean added that the faculty owns two wide-spread scientific journals which got the top assessment by the SCU for the 4th year in-a-row. There are 18 of academic staff who are listed in the 2% list of the distinguished scientists worldwide.
In addition, Faculty Dean stated that the faculty has established a number of strategic partnerships for community service via signing cooperation protocols. The latest protocol was signed with University of Bradford for student exchange for the second year in-a-row. 55 students from University of Bradford have visited Faculty of Engineering for 4 weeks to get training opportunities.
