Faculty Dean Holds Expanded Meetings to Review Readiness to Meet Programmatic and Institutional Accreditation Requirements


   Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, held a series of expanded meetings to review the faculty readiness to fulfill the requirements for programmatic and institutional accreditation and to support its comprehensive development plans. The meetings were attended by the vice deans, the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, heads of academic departments, a number of academic staff, coordinators for governance, quality standards and accreditation, the Secretary-General of the faculty, and administrative directors.
   During the meetings, Faculty Dean emphasized that the current phase requires teamwork in order to achieve a qualitative advancement in academic and administrative performance. He stressed that the faculty possesses the capabilities needed to reach the highest standards of quality and excellence. He also noted that the faculty administration is committed to providing continuous support for the development of academic programs, infrastructure, laboratories, and the expansion of modern technologies in line with national and international standards.
   In addition, Prof. Ahmed Nasr highlighted the importance of regularly monitoring performance indicators and implementing the university approved governance system in order to enhance operational efficiency and ensure discipline and transparency. The meetings reviewed progress in quality-related files, discussed the readiness of departments nominated for accreditation, and examined existing challenges together with mechanisms for overcoming them in accordance with the established timelines.
   In a related context, Faculty Dean affirmed that the faculty is strongly qualified to compete for the Government Excellence Award of this year, thanks to its distinguished human resources and advanced infrastructure. He praised the efforts of the academic staff and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening a culture of quality and enhancing its research standing, in support of the university vision of leadership, innovation, and community service.
