Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, welcomed two committees from the Quality Assurance Center at Tanta University, headed by Prof. Sabah Sharshour, Director of the University Quality Assurance Center, and comprising a distinguished group of experts and specialists.
The visit was attended by Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Yasser Al-Samadouny, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Walaa Nour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mai Wahba, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty; Dr. Mohamed Samir, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit; along with a number of academic staff and assistant staff.
At the beginning of the meeting, Faculty Dean welcomed the committee members and reviewed the human and physical resources of the faculty, as well as its newly established academic departments and recently introduced educational programs within the framework of the final preparations to obtain both programmatic and institutional accreditation.
The two committees also held intensive meetings with academic staff and their assistants to examine all documents and records related to the programmatic and institutional accreditation files. They reviewed program and course specifications, as well as internal and external review reports.
In this context, Prof. Ahmed Nasr emphasized that the faculty is not merely seeking accreditation as a short-term objective, but is committed to embedding a culture of quality as a sustainable approach to work. This commitment aims to graduate highly qualified engineers who meet the needs of both local and international labor markets and contribute effectively to the sustainable development plans of the country.
At the conclusion of the visit, members of the Quality Assurance Center expressed their deep appreciation for the efforts made by the faculty administration and the Quality Assurance Unit team. They praised the work invested in the newly developed educational programs and the advanced infrastructure, affirming that what they witnessed reflects a strong spirit of teamwork and a firm commitment to academic and institutional quality standards.
