Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, chaired the meeting of faculty council that was held on Tuesday in attendance of vice deans, former university presidents, vice presidents, former deans, heads of the academic departments, and members of the council of academic staff.
Faculty Dean started his speech by congratulating Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz on being Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, affirming that the upcoming stage requires more efforts and teamwork to enhance the academic educational path.
In addition, Faculty Dean commended the new strategic achievement on gaining academic accreditation, for the unique programs of Computer Engineering and Automatic Control Department and Communications and Electronics Engineering Department, for obtaining program accreditation. This raises the number of accredited programs to, which contributes to enhancing society’s confidence in the quality of its educational outcomes.
Prof. Ahmed Nasr also indicated that the faculty crowned its successes by renewing the accreditation of the Reinforced Concrete and Heavy Structures Laboratory, as well as the Properties of Materials Laboratory, from the National Accreditation Council, in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017, providing further confirmation of its commitment to quality systems and global standards.
In addition, he extended congratulations to Dr. Nader Nabil Za’farany for his outstanding success in completing the training and qualification program for faculty members at Egyptian universities to teach the German language (fifth round), organized by the Goethe-Institute (the German Cultural Center).
Further, Faculty Dean stressed the importance of early and well-organized preparation for the first-term exams, affirming that discipline and quality are two sides of the same coin in the journey towards institutional excellence.
