Faculty Dean Chairs the Meeting of Faculty Council


   Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, chaired today the meeting of Faculty Council in attendance of vice deans, former university presidents, former vice presidents, former deans, heads of the scientific departments, and a number of academic staff.
   Faculty Dean started the meeting by honoring Dr. Mohammed Ra’fat, for his outstanding efforts during the period of being Manager of Productive Workshops Unit. In the same context, he congratulated Dr. Ibrahim Addib, on being assigned as the New Manager of the Unit.
   Within the framework of the societal role of Faculty of Engineering, and in the light of the Presidency of Tanta University for the Delta universities Regional Alliance, Prof. Ahmed Nasr referred that the ceremony organized by the faculty to evaluate the projects carried out by students of the Urban Planning Department, titled “Urban Surveying and the Redevelopment of Utility Areas of Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in El-Mahalla El-Kubra”, have embodied integration between academic research and the state plans for industrial development. He affirmed that these projects reflect the effective role of the faculty in serving the surrounding community, linking education to the requirements of the national industry, and achieving sustainable development goals.
   In addition, Prof. Ahmed Nasr pointed out the faculty participation in the competition for the Best Environmentally Friendly Faculty at the level of Tanta University, as part of efforts to motivate all faculty members and affiliates to exert greater effort and engage in teamwork, thereby contributing to showcasing the significant capabilities of the faculty and achieving the desired level of excellence.
   The meeting concluded with a discussion of a number of issues related to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of academic and administrative performance, within the framework of an ambitious vision aimed at consolidating the position of the faculty as a leading platform for innovation and scientific leadership.
