Faculty of Engineering Welcomes the Field Evaluation Committee for the Final Stage of the “Best Eco-Friendly Faculty 2025” Competition


   Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University welcomed the field evaluation committee for the final stage of the Best Eco-Friendly Faculty 2025 competition. This visit followed the well-deserved advancement of the faculty into the list of the top three faculties at the university level, within the framework of the university support for sustainability and the green transition, under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
   The evaluation committee was chaired by Prof. Emad Etman, former Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The committee was received by Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Faculty Dean, along with the faculty vice deans, heads of academic departments, program coordinators, the Deputy Director of the Center for Engineering Research and Consultations, laboratory directors, a number of academic staff, Secretary General of the faculty, the assisting staff, employees, and with active participation from the Student Union.
   The committee included Dr. Mona Al-Gamal, Dr. Nada Al-Shennawy, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharkasy as a representative of the Environmental Affairs Administration in Gharbia Governorate, and Dr. Madiha Darwish as a representative of the Environmental Affairs Agency.
   The visit featured a comprehensive presentation of the efforts exerted by the faculty to support the digital and green transformation, and to apply the standards of Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, through improving the efficiency of resource and energy management and expanding green spaces within the university campus, reflecting the commitment of the faculty to environmental and societal responsibility.
   At the conclusion of the tour, Faculty Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation to the community of the faculty, praising their continuous efforts to present the faculty in a distinguished and honorable manner. He emphasized that the goal goes beyond competition or winning an award, extending instead to embedding the culture of sustainability and building lasting environmental awareness for future generations. He concluded by wishing every success to the faculty, hoping it will win the competition and continue its journey towards institutional excellence and development.
