Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, chaired today the meeting of Faculty Council in attendance of vice deans, former university presidents, former vice presidents, former deans, heads of the scientific departments, and a number of academic staff.
Faculty Dean started the meeting by congratulating all the attendees on the occasion of the beginning of the second semester, affirming keenness of the faulty administration on providing a supportive and enhancing educational atmosphere to the students, hoping that the second semester is full of academic and practical achievements.
In addition, Faculty Dean affirmed the necessity to attend the Egypt-Japan Multidisciplinary Scientific Symposium on Smart Energy Systems for Sustainable Future which will be held by Tanta University on Sunday, February 15th, 2026, at the headquarters of the University Administration. He called upon the academic staff and assistant staff to participate effectively in that scientific event, clarifying that the event includes offers for research grants, training opportunities, and Pre-Doctorate programs offered by the Japanese side, as well as specialized scientific discussions which contribute to supporting scientific research and academic exchange.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of a number of issues related to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of academic and administrative performance, within the framework of an ambitious vision aimed at consolidating the position of the faculty as a leading platform for innovation and scientific leadership.
