Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University has secured first place in the 2025 Best Environmentally Friendly Faculty Award among the faculties of the university. The honor was announced during the First Environmental Forum of the Delta Region Universities Alliance, held under the theme “Bridging the Gap between Academic Learning and Industry.”
The award recognizes the outstanding efforts exerted by the faculty in advancing environmental sustainability and fostering a culture of eco-consciousness across campus. Key initiatives included accelerating digital and green transformation, aligning institutional practices with Egypt Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, enhancing energy and resource efficiency, and expanding green spaces within the university campus.
University officials noted that the integrated approach of the faculty reflects a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility, implemented through practical initiatives that support sustainable development and reinforce the role of the university in community service.
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Ahmed Nasr expressed his appreciation to the university leadership and the award committee, congratulating academic staff, assistant staff, administrative staff, and the Student Union for their collective efforts. He emphasized that the recognition underscores the continued dedication to sustainability and the strategic vision of the faculty for building a more environmentally responsible academic institution.
