The first event of the symposium series titled “Raise Your Child Right” was launched at Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University as a part of the commitment of the faculty to raising students’ awareness and preparing them in a comprehensive way that combines both scientific and educational understanding. The event was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of the University; Prof. Al-Sayyed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and under supervision of Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. It was coordinated with Mr. Tariq Al-Garf, Director of Youth Welfare Department, and Ms. Amira Hussain, Activity Supervisor.
For his part, Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that organizing this symposium is out of the faculty interest in building a well-rounded university student. He highlighted the importance of raising awareness among young people who are about to start families regarding proper parenting principles, which contributes to preparing a conscious generation capable of taking responsibility and actively participating in community development. He also emphasized the commitment of the faculty to continuing such events on a regular basis to maximize student benefit.
The symposium was delivered by Prof. Randa Al-Deeb, Professor of Child Educational Foundations at Faculty of Education, Tanta University, and founder of the “Raise Your Child Right” initiative. During the session, she addressed the concept of positive parenting and the importance of the family’s role in discovering and nurturing children’s talents. She emphasized that the initiative provides real support to Egyptian families in adopting sound parenting methods that contribute to raising more aware and capable generations.
The symposium included several important topics, most prominent of them is raising awareness among youth preparing for marriage about the importance of building a stable family, enhancing educational awareness through comprehensive educational content, as well as supporting and developing students’ talents at the faculty.
At the end of the event, a discussion session was opened for students, where their questions were answered amid strong engagement from attendees. Participants recommended repeating such symposiums in the coming academic terms due to their positive impact on students’ awareness.
The event concluded with expressions of thanks and appreciation to Prof. Randa Al-Deeb for her distinguished scientific contribution, which enriched the symposium.
