Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University hosted a training program under the “Mawadda” initiative, a presidential program aimed at preserving the cohesion of the Egyptian family. The program is held out of the university commitment to raising social awareness and strengthening family values among youth.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; supervised by Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering; and Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The training session was delivered by Prof. Mona Darwish, Professor at Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University. She presented the overall vision of the “Mawadda” initiative, which aims to build a strong and stable society by supporting the family institution, raising youth awareness about healthy family life, and promoting values of compassion and mutual respect.
The program witnessed wide participation from male and female students, contributing to achieving its educational and awareness goals, with notable engagement from attendees across its various topics.
This program is part of the Presidential Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Family, implemented in cooperation between Ministry of Social Solidarity and Tanta University. It aims to prepare and qualify young people who are about to get married, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to build stable and happy families.
It is worth noting that the “Mawadda” initiative is one of the most prominent national projects launched by Ministry of Social Solidarity since March 2019, under the directives of President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi. It seeks to preserve the integrity of the Egyptian family by spreading awareness and promoting family stability, thereby supporting the cohesion of the society.
