In an unprecedented historic achievement, the “T-Racers” team from Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University secured third place worldwide in the prestigious international competition Formula Student UK 2026, held at the renowned Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom.
Adding a remarkable milestone to the records of excellence of Tanta University and Faculty of Engineering, the team became the first Egyptian and Arab team to reach the Business Plan Presentation finals and achieved first place worldwide in Project Management, demonstrating the outstanding capabilities of Egyptian students on international platforms.
On this occasion, Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, extended his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, for their continuous support and encouragement of the talented innovators and student activities in general. He emphasized that this support was a key factor behind achieving this honorable representation of Egypt and Tanta University on the global stage.
Faculty Dean also congratulated Prof. Mustafa El-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Yasser Al-Samdouny, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and all members of the faculty community on this remarkable achievement.
Prof. Ahmed Nasr extended special congratulations to Prof. Hager Alam Addin, the Academic Supervisor of the Team, recognizing her outstanding efforts and continuous guidance, which played a significant role in achieving this international success.
In addition, he expressed his appreciation to Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of Tanta University, and Mr. Mohammed Sa’d, Secretary General of Faculty of Engineering, for their efforts and for facilitating all administrative and logistical procedures necessary to support the team.
He further congratulated the members of the T-Racers team, who proudly represented Egypt and Tanta University by raising the national flag at this major international event.
