Faculty Dean Welcomes New Students and Highlights the Faculty as a Scientific Institution Keeping Pace with the Digital Era


   As a part of the commitment of Faculty of Engineering to maintaining continuous communication with its students, and coinciding with the start of the academic year, 2026/2027, Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty, held an orientation meeting for new students, in attendance of Prof. Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
   Faculty Dean welcomed the new students and congratulated them on the beginning of their university journey. He emphasized that the faculty is a well-established engineering institution that keeps pace with the latest international standards through modern academic regulations based on the credit-hour system, distinguished accredited academic programs, and advanced research and training laboratories.
   These facilities include the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Monitoring Laboratories, the Surveying Laboratory, and the Robotics Laboratory for Simulation and Intelligent Modeling, all of which have been specifically developed to prepare students for the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation. The faculty has distinguished itself through its environmental initiatives, having ranked among the University faculties as a leading environmentally friendly faculty.
   Prof. Ahmed Nasr stressed that adherence to academic schedules and regular attendance are fundamental to achieving academic excellence and qualifying students to join their preferred academic departments or modern specialized programs. He also emphasized that earning the title of an “Egyptian Engineer” is a responsibility that requires hard work, dedication, and innovation in support of the ongoing sustainable development efforts.
   He further affirmed that the faculty administration is committed to utilizing all available resources to serve students and facilitate their educational journey.
   The meeting concluded extending their best wishes to the new students for an academic year filled with excellence and success. They emphasized that the faculty will always remain a second home that embraces creativity and innovation for all its students.
